TotalEnergies Refinery Antwerp commissioned 3 new production and maintenance buildings on the site at Scheldelaan in Antwerp with surface areas of 200 m2, 650 m2 and 1,300 m2. Hooyberghs carried out the HVAC and the sanitary works. During the execution, explosion resistance was a crucial aspect for the project. The air treatment system on the roof is equipped with the required gas detectors for possible gas leaks on the site. The buildings are air-conditioned with VRV systems on R32 and HVRF for the larger buildings. Sanitary hot water is produced through heat pump boilers.
