A tunnel in the heart of Europe

The Brussels North-South junction being saturised, a new alternative had to be found to improve mobility between the European quarter in Brussels and the surrounding cities.

To guarantee the safety of the commuters Cegelec Infra Technics installed an ultra-modern automation system to manage incidents from detection to action. The system receives information about the position of the train and the seat of the fire and can control the ventilation, lighting and sirens. By this installation Cegelec Infra Technics contributed to a station ready for the 21^st century.
