To solve the traffic congestion in the Liège area, an important motorway connection between the E40 and the E25 was built at the end of the 20th century. The most known part of the project is the tunnel of Cointe, which was constructed to avoid traffic in the city center.

More than 25 million vehicules per year, or 73,400 each day, make use of this connection.

Cegelec Infra Technics participated in the engineering, installation and commissioning of the electromechanical solutions.
