Specialist in electrical engineering ITB continues to grow under the Cegelec brand

Brussels, January 2 2025 - ITB NV, one of the market leaders in the field of electrical installations in Flanders and Brussels, will continue to operate under the brand name Cegelec as of January 1 2025. The rebranding of the company which, like Cegelec, belongs to VINCI Energies, is a new step in ITB's growth strategy.

ITB was acquired by VINCI Energies in March 2017, which was a logical step due to the many collaborations between Cegelec and ITB and the complementarity between the two players. “That acquisition further extended our expertise, making us a unique partner for our customers in offering total solutions for HVAC and electricity,” testifies Olivier Ruymen, Director of the Buildings ELEC and audio-visual department at Cegelec. “With a team of more than 75 specialized employees, ITB has extensive knowledge in the design, execution, aftercare and renovation of electrical installations, but the company also puts a strong focus on new technologies as a solution to the challenges concerning future energy systems. We therefore complement each other well.”

Uniform identity

From January 1, 2025, ITB will continue under the international brand name Cegelec, part of VINCI Energies, and market leader in technical building installations. “After years of successful integration and cooperation, the time has come to take the next step in our evolution within the group. In order to support both ITB’s growth and strategy, as well as to maintain a uniform image to the market, the decision was made to group ITB’s activities within VINCI Energies under one brand name: Cegelec. This means that all electricity-related expertise and projects will be united in one organization, allowing us to further strengthen our focus on total technical solutions,” continued Fabrice Montesi, Managing Director of VINCI Energies Building Solutions Belgium.

Local service from a global network

Despite the new name, ITB will maintain its own individuality. “Not much will change for the customers. They will see a different logo on our correspondence, but the familiar services, structure and contacts within the organization will remain the same,” says Olivier Ruymen. “We are convinced that ITB’s inclusion in a large international network will only benefit customers. Combining a local service with the power of a global network of knowledge and expertise will allow us to provide them with even better assistance in the digital transformation and energy transition of their business.”
